The Farmers’ Market Association of Manitoba (FMAM) is excited to be a part of Ciclovia for a third year in a row!
Ciclovia, meaning “bike way,” began in Bogotá, Colombia, where every Sunday major roads are blocked off and millions of people fill them running, walking, biking while enjoying free outdoor fitness classes like yoga and aerobics. Ciclovia events have been held all over the world, but have yet to hit Canadian streets until now.
Last year, the Lights on Broadway, including Ciclovia, saw over 30,000 people attend the weekend event. As a vendor, and a member of FMAM this is an opportunity for you to be a part of an amazing festival as part of the Farmers’ Market.

Last year you knew it as Lights on Broadway Five Events, One Weekend…this year its many events on one weekend! The Downtown Winnipeg BIZ is excited to unveil Winnipeg’s newest festival name and brand: ManyFest: All together downtown, which will see an anticipated 30,000-plus people celebrating on Broadway September 9 to 11, 2011.

Varying stretches of the north side of Broadway will be closed to vehicular traffic over the weekend, which will feature a wine festival, music, running race, dancing, lights and Ciclovia. The festival for all ages celebrates community, arts, entertainment and healthy living on the streets of downtown Winnipeg beneath Broadway’s beautiful lit canopy of elm trees.

Space is limited, so if you are interested in being a vendor here is all you need to do:
1. Be available Saturday September 10th (late afternoon/evening, exact time TBD) and Sunday September 11th (morning & afternoon, exact time TBD).
2. Be in good standing with FMAM (membership dues paid).
3. Email me, Jennifer, to express your interest.
Preference will be given to vendors who can commit to both days, but I will try to accommodate all registered vendors. Once you have expressed interest, you will be given a registration form and when that has been returned to me you will receive notification of your registration.
